English Statement

At Parkwood Hall we believe that literacy and communication are vital life skills and the key to learning. Through a multi-layered English curriculum, we develop the skills and knowledge that will enable students to communicate effectively and equip them with the transferable tools to become lifelong learners. English is at the heart of all student’s learning and is central to intellectual, emotional and social development. It has an essential role across the whole-school curriculum and facilitates students’ learning to be coherent and progressive. Through engaging lessons and quality learning experiences, our students can experience English in a way that is inclusive and suited to their needs. We believe that the high expectations, adaptive teaching methods and aspirations that are set through our curriculum will support our students to reach their full potential, both at Parkwood and in the future.
